Central Coast based medical group comprising of (Mariners Medical, Tuggerah Medical Centre, Warnervale GP Super Clinic and Toukley Family Practice) is thrilled to be supporting the highly popular Wyong Netball District Association (WNDA), that has been and will continue to be a local sporting institution within the local community.

The premium general practitioner service provider is pleased to be on board and look forward to a long- term partnership. “The sponsorship partnership with Wyong Netball District Association provides an ideal fit as we continue in our pursuit to keep Central Coast families healthy and well” states Practice Principal and owner of the local medical group, Dr Brad Cranney. The popular GP practices are looking forward to caring for the players, supporters and their families and helping them to achieve optimal health and wellness.

Wyong District Netball Association commenced in 1961, with girls playing on grass courts with no facilities. From its humble beginnings, the Association has significantly grown over the years to now accommodate over 2,600 members participating in competition each week with Regional & State events held at the venue along with State school events and gala days. “Our teams have achieved great results at New South Wales championships over the years and we have had several players selected in Australian, NSW State teams & State school girls teams” states Kellie Walker, PR + Sponsorship Manager. The Association is run by volunteers who have worked hard over the past 56 years to make the Association what it is today.

WDNA is excited to have the expertise of the local medical group onboard as a sponsor for the next 3 years. “We know our members will benefit from the health checks, advice and health programs the medical practices can provide not to mention convenient access to the 4 site locations. We look forward to a successful partnership and an outstanding 2018 netball season” says Walker.

Netball is a highly popular and growing sport on the Central Coast and is a fantastic sport for all ages to play. Not only does it help to build upper body strength, leg muscles and cardiovascular system, Netball is a fast-paced and intensive game, which quickly boosts health and fitness levels. It’s also highly social, encourages team work and discipline, not to mention it’s lots of fun! Like any sport, injuries can occur, but the local supporting medial practice has players and their families covered with Mariners Medical open extended hours and over the weekend to especially cater to sporting injury management. Many of the practitioners also have a special interest in sports injuries, prevention and management.

To make it even more convenient for patients, the medical practice also offer pathology, allied health services including physiotherapy and podiatry not to mention radiology and chemist either on site or very close by.
